In the morning of July 20, amidst high-pitched deep whistle of “COSCO Sao Paulo” ship under COSCO SHIPPING, nearly 1000 XCMG construction machineries including excavators, wheel loaders and graders set sail from Lianyungang Port heading toward South America.
As time will come to ride the wind and cleave the waves, set cloud-white sail and cross surging sea. It is reported this batch of cargos is forecast to arrive at the port of destination in mid-August, and will involve in a major infrastructure construction project in South America.
This is the largest single-batch export order in Chinese construction machinery industry over the past five years, as a brilliant song of triumph marking overseas rise of Made in China, and even a “cardiac stimulant” into the recovery of world economy.
In the meantime, this success shipment of XCMG construction machinery is also an important practice for Chinese shipping enterprises and foreign trade enterprises to strengthen cooperation and solve difficulties of foreign trade shipment together, playing a positive role in global supply chain stability under the epidemic.
The pandemic has swept across industrial economy of many countries, while the rapid recovery of Chinese industrial and supply chain has caused China more “needed” in global import and export trade. In the first half of this year, Chinese economy was reinforced and moved forward steadily, and foreign trade import and export achieved rapid growth.
According to official data, in the first half of this year, Chinese foreign trade import and export reached RMB 18.07 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 27.1%, and monthly import and export showed upward trend for 13 consecutive months, of which the export volume of construction machinery products registered a year-on-year growth of 67%.
